Last Updated:

Codezep Technologies Private Limited (“Codezep,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website (www.zep360.com), mobile applications, and the ZEP360® SaaS platform (collectively, the “Platform”).

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how we use them, the third-party technologies we partner with, and your rights to control our use of them. This policy forms part of our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are downloaded to your computer or mobile device when you visit a website or use an application. They allow the Platform to recognize your device and store some information about your preferences or past actions.

Why do we use them?

  • To log you into the Platform and keep you logged in.
  • To remember your preferences (e.g., language, currency, dashboard layout).
  • To understand how you use the Platform so we can improve it.
  • To ensure the security of our services (e.g., detecting multiple failed login attempts).

Terminology:

  • First-Party Cookies: Set directly by ZEP360®.
  • Third-Party Cookies: Set by other organizations (e.g., Google Analytics, payment processors).
  • Session Cookies: Temporary cookies that expire when you close your browser.
  • Persistent Cookies: Remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them.

Categories of cookies we use

We use four main categories of cookies on the ZEP360® Platform:

2.1. Strictly Necessary Cookies (Essential)

These cookies are fundamental to the operation of the Platform. You cannot switch these off in our systems. If you set your browser to block these cookies, some parts of the Platform will not work.

  • Purpose: Authentication, security, session management, and load balancing.
  • Consent: Not required.
  • Examples:
    • auth_token: Identifies your active session after you log in.
    • csrf_token: Prevents Cross-Site Request Forgery attacks.
    • cookie_consent: Stores your preference regarding this Cookie Policy.

2.2. Functionality Cookies

These cookies enable the Platform to provide enhanced functionality and personalization. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have added to our pages.

  • Purpose: Remembering your username, language settings, font size, or region.
  • Consent: Recommended.
  • Examples:
    • locale: Remembers if you prefer English, Hindi, or Malayalam.
    • ui_theme: Remembers if you use Light Mode or Dark Mode.

2.3. Performance & Analytics Cookies

These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our Platform. They help us know which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the site.

  • Purpose: Usage analytics, error tracking, heatmaps.
  • Anonymity: The information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous.
  • Examples:
    • _ga, _gid (Google Analytics): Distinguishes unique users and throttles request rates.

2.4. Targeting & Marketing Cookies

These cookies may be set through our public website (not usually inside the secured SaaS dashboard) by our advertising partners. They may be used by those companies to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant adverts on other sites.

  • Purpose: Retargeting, conversion tracking, measuring ad efficiency.
  • Consent: Required (Opt-in).

Third-party technologies

In addition to our own cookies, we may use various third-party cookies to report usage statistics and deliver advertisements on and through the Service.

Web beacons and pixels

We may use "Web Beacons" (also known as clear GIFs or pixel tags) in our emails or on our website.

  • Email Tracking: We use pixels in our marketing emails to track whether you open the email or click links. This helps us measure the effectiveness of our communications.
  • Opt-Out: You can avoid this by disabling images in your email client or unsubscribing from our marketing lists.

Local storage

In addition to cookies, we use Local Storage (HTML5) and Session Storage.

  • What it is: A technology that allows a website to store data on your computer's hard drive locally.
  • Usage: We use Local Storage to store "draft" data (e.g., if you are filling out a long form and lose internet connection, we save the data locally so you don't lose your work).
  • Management: You can clear Local Storage by clearing your browser's "Cache and Site Data."
